Why use a mattress protector in a hotel?

Are mattress protectors waterproof and breathable?
It depends on the model. Dorelan Innova, Regard, Life and Seal mattress protectors are waterproof and breathable, thanks to the structure of the fabric coated with polyurethane foam. The choice of hotel mattress protector can therefore be made according to specific protection, hygiene and room management needs.
Do mattress protectors protect against bed bugs?
Not all mattress protectors have a specific function against bed bugs. For dedicated protection, our Bugs Out mattress protector, a full zippered encasement with a safety system, creates a physical barrier against bed bugs, dust mites and bacteria. The cover fully encloses the mattress and is designed to prevent pests from reaching it and multiplying inside.
Does the mattress protector need to be fire-retardant?
The fire-retardancy requirement depends on the regulations and specifications applicable to the accommodation facility. To determine whether the mattress protector must be fire-retardant in a specific hotel or context of use, refer to the applicable regulations and to the requirements of the property.
What is the difference between a fitted mattress protector and a full encasement?
The fitted mattress protector with elastic corners protects the surface of the mattress and is designed to be put on and removed easily.
The Bugs Out full encasement, on the other hand, is made as a bag and fully encloses the mattress. It has a zip and a safety system and creates a physical barrier against bed bugs, dust mites and bacteria. It is therefore the Dorelan Hotel solution specifically designed when complete protection of the mattress against pests is required.
Do pillow protectors protect against dust mites and bacteria?
Yes, some Dorelan Hotel pillow protectors offer specific protection against dust mites and bacteria, depending on the model. The Bugs Out cover, with zip closure, creates a physical barrier against bed bugs, dust mites and bacteria and is washable up to 60 °C. The range also includes covers with specific treatments: Mite uses the Fiberbugs treatment, effective against dust mites and bed bugs, while Innova uses HealthGuard® technology, an antimicrobial treatment that helps combat bacteria, mould and dust mites.
